I am Martin de Jong, a professional software engineer for years ;). I am living in the south of the Netherlands (Zuid-Limburg), close to the Belgian and German border (which btw are invisible nowadays :).
In the early days i kept myself busy with COBOL and Pascal, together with a lot of design approaches such as ISAC. After the turnover to client-server software my main job was to design database systems and make the software for them. Those days most of the software was build using Oracle DB, Sql*Forms.

Nowadays my main job is building software using DotNet, both Websites and Windows Forms application. Privately i support friends in creating sites for their personal use. A majority of these sites are hosting on a Linux machine using Apache, MySql and Php-scripting (LAMP).
